My Story
Hi, I’m Hannah! I live in the suburbs of Atlanta with my husband, Sam, and our two young daughters, Nora and Ruby. I’ve spent many years in the corporate world in tech sales, and outside of work, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen or the garden, which are my favorite places to recharge.

I grew up moving around a lot - from the Bay Area to Holland to Washington, D.C. - but I consider my roots to be in New England, in a charming beach town in Maine called Ocean Park. It’s where my parents met, where I spent every summer of my life, where I went to college nearby and where much of my extended family still resides.
I’ve now lived in Georgia for over a decade and met my husband not long after I moved here. I’ve grown to truly love living in the South.

Cooking has always been my creative outlet, something that grounds me and brings joy to our home. I love taking simple, everyday ingredients and turning them into meals that feel special without the fuss. Whether it’s throwing together a quick dinner after a long day or turning our dining room into a steakhouse for the night, I believe great food should be both approachable and memorable.

My love for cooking comes from my mom, who grew up in Northern Wisconsin, where her parents ran the local bakery in the 1940s and '50s. She inspired me to see food as something you can elevate with a little love and creativity. I was lucky to grow up with home-cooked meals nearly every night. Simple dishes that blended Midwest humility with a touch of farm-to-table freshness. That blend of comfort and intention has stuck with me ever since.

For me, the kitchen is my escape from the fast pace of corporate life. It’s where I find joy in meal planning, strategic grocery runs, and creating recipes that make even the busiest weeknights feel a little more special.
I created this community to inspire those who feel intimidated by cooking or might be looking to bring more flavor, confidence and intention into their kitchen. Whether you’re just getting started or have been cooking for years, I’m here to help you feel like a home chef in your own space.
